Due to the current situation with COVID-19, Ocean View Terrace Inn & Suites is implementing new processes to protect the safety of our guests and our staff. This may result in a reduction in certain services and amenities that are normally available to you. Below are our COVID-19 guidelines and temporary changes to the property during your stay. These guidelines are subject to change at any time.
Please note: We will be continuing these guidelines and temporary changes at the start of the 2021 season. Cancellation Notice also still applies. Please check back and or contact us as NY State COVID-19 Regulations change.
COVID-19 CANCELLATION NOTICE: All reservations and deposits made after March 11th, 2020 are non-refundable within 14-days of check-in. However, if and only if the reservee cannot attend the reservation due to force majeure and the cancellation is within the 14-day check-in period, the reservee can receive a hotel credit in the amount of the non-refunded amount to apply towards the next stay. To receive this hotel credit, the reservee must provide supporting documentation of force majeure. Supporting documentation is considered verification of flight cancellation by the airline, medical documentation, etc. *Please see credit rules and regulations.
-Before arrival: Normally, when you check-in, we’d take a scan of both your ID and Credit Card used to make your reservation, to be used to protect against identity fraud and incidentals. However, to limit the exposure due to COVID-19, all registrations forms will now be digitally signed, with necessary photocopies of reserving guests ID and Credit Card used to make their reservation. This information is secured and encrypted by Adobe.
-Accessing your room: Once we have received your digitally signed registration form, your room will be accessible (please keep your key on you at all times). Before you arrive on property, your room will be unlocked and the key left on the counter. A layout of the property will illustrate where to access your room and sent via email before check-in. All rooms have their own outdoor entrance.
–Parking: We ask those to only park in their assigned spot directly in front of their room. Your guest pass must be displayed in your window while on property.
–Pool:Our pool is currently closed for the winter season and will reopen end of May 2021. At this time, current NY State social distancing and group gathering guidelines must be kept when our season begins again.
-Front Office: The front office will be open with limited availability. One guest is allowed at a time inside.
-Bay Beach Area: Our private bay beach will be open for guest enjoyment along with loungers and Adirondack chairs. Adhering to the guidelines, during this time, our guest shared beach toys will not be available for use until further notice. Beach/Pool towels are available upon request.
-Housekeeping: For the protection of our staff and guests, daily housekeeping, except vacuuming and trash disposal, will be not available for regular make-up service. Fresh towels are available upon request.
-Check-out: During this time, guests checking-out, are asked to shut off all lights and TV(s) and leave their key on the counter. We ask guests to promptly check-out between 10am and 10:30am to allow enough time for turn over. Each room is mopped and thoroughly sanitized with disinfecting cleaners on all doorknobs, switches, remotes, phones, hard-surfaces, etc. after each check-out.
-Visitors: At this time, large groups will not be able to visit the property. We ask guests to keep their visitors to no more than 2 per room.
-Sanitation: All high frequency touch areas (door-knobs, vending machine, railings, etc.) of the property will be regularly sanitized.
-Personal Space and Socializing: All guests are required to practice the current New York State COVID-19 social distancing guidelines of keeping 6ft, or more, of space between you and any guests staying on the property. Masks are encouraged and may be deemed mandatory, to carry around the property for instances where 6ft can not be kept.
Although these are the guidelines, we still feel the need to apologize in advance for the impersonalism. We pride ourselves on the best guest experience and this unfortunate event has taken away one of the things we love most about our Inn, and that is meeting our guests and our interactions during their stay.
Should you happen to have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 631-728.4036. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to your stay!
